Batia Magal is an Israeli artist born in 1953. She studied at the Avni Institute for Fine Art and the Midrasha for Art in Beit Berl. Her work is characterized by a feminine touch, featuring female figures, light colors, and airy brushstrokes. Magal's paintings often incorporate calligraphic drawings of women or flower-filled vases as central elements, complemented by vibrant colors that evoke a warm, luminous quality reminiscent of medieval stained-glass windows. She has explored various media, including acrylic, oil, watercolor, pastel, etching, and engraving, and has recently incorporated fabric textures and prints into her collages.
