     This antique oil lamp features a vibrant cranberry red glass font (reservoir) in a classic bulbous shape with a smooth, glossy finish and a molded pedestal base. The brass burner is marked "MADE IN U.S.A. P&A MFG. CO. WATERBURY CONN. THOMAS NO. 2" on the wick adjuster knob, identifying it as a product of the Plume & Atwood Manufacturing Company, a prominent American lamp maker from the late 19th to early 20th century (active circa 1860s-1950s, with this style likely dating to the 1870s-1900s). The burner includes a flat wick slot (with remnant wick visible), a screw-on cap, and three prongs designed to hold a glass chimney (chimney not included).

    















     The glass base has a subtle molded number "2088" on the underside, possibly a catalog or mold identifier. In excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or major scratches—the glass retains its rich ruby hue, and the brass has an aged patina adding to its authentic charm. Ideal for collectors of Victorian-era lighting, kerosene lamps, or as a decorative piece (can be used with lamp oil and a compatible chimney if desired but recommended for display).
